I thought that's what he did, went live, ad libed, because he went berserk over a technical error which I assume he had nothing to do with. In any case It's nice to see he's subject to the same errors in judgment and good taste that most of us fall victim to. It may have been posted before but I hadn't seen it, so it was news to me. Do I think any way differently toward him? Nope, never thought he was a saint anyway.

Yo Dave, where is all that complaining you do when any other article, like earthquakes, typhoons and murders, are posted upward of 20 times in 48 hours? I don't recall seeing a post from you on ANYTHING that was inappropriate unless it was something this stupid, and I missed it. So, 'spade', you like to cite Keith Olbermann as an expert on dysfunctional personalities? Isn't that appropriate, for several reasons; first, Olbermann identifying 'the worst person in the world' would fit into the category of 'it takes one to know one', and it seems eminently appropriate that someone, like yourself, who attempts to pass himself off as fair, balanced and dispassionate, while harboring the most hateful of prejudices and utilizing the vilest of manipulative propaganda techniques to promote said hateful views, would rely upon Olbermann as a source for their opinions.
In other words, you and Olbermann were meant for each other.

Now, I am sure we have all had those tough days at work. Maybe his makeup didn't work out right. Maybe someone put curdled cream in his coffee. Maybe someone put Ex-Lax in it. Whatever the reason, I am sure Bill just had a bad day.

Listen to all the super libs call names. How old is this tape? He has quite a few more wrinkles and pounds now. Have to go that far back to try to try to besmirch him. He has all the libs in an uproar. He also makes conservatives mad. That must put him in the middle.
It was not live and on the air. Equipment malfunction and the people didn't get it. Frustration because it partially ruined the dress rehearsal that goes before a news cast.
How many of you would have done better under the gun. The closer to news time it gets the higher the pressure mounts. I worked on some equipment while these kinds of things were going on. Many of the on air personnel will have fits like this, especially the younger ones, because it is them that will look stupid if everything is not ready when the cameras go live.

Although this is a very old video, I certainly don't blame him about screw-ups like this when it's his career at stake.
I used to do business with CNN and saw the kind of egos these commentators have. They are not pleased when things go wrong.

When I posted earlier about Bill O'Reilly mentality, or lack thereof, EndSloppy posted that Mr. O'Reilly had his Masters in "Broadcast Journalism," I laugh so hard damned near peed on myself. This' the garbage mental ****** use to defend our beloved whaz-his-face, triple-chinned Cheney, and the entire Grand Old Party line! They are sadly lacking brain-needed H2O2. They are already trying their very best to deflect criticism toward their heroes in the Whitehouse.

So, I guess all the people here going on about what a terrible person Bill O'Reilly is because of his meltdown, never EVER had one of their own? I'm finding that a bit hard to believe -- many of you get just as nasty here on the threads where it's all written and you can easily walk away from it and take your time to cool down.
Sue Simmons in New York had a similar meltdown over a technical glitch (complete with the f-word ). She was on the air, though.
Haven't heard so much as a peep about that here.
