Signs of Leno's Resentment at NBC Begin to Show »
Posted by: coreyspring 1 year agoOn last night's The Tonight Show, Jay half-heartedly showed off a few set redecorations made while he was on vacation, including a new desk. Admitting he didn't see what was wrong with the old one, Leno quipped: "It's not like NBC to get rid of something that's worked perfectly well for 15 years."

Agreed. Our hearts all bleed for you, Mr. Leno. You have it so rough, I just don't know if I can handle going through the rest of my life that someone had it as hard as you do right now. Makes me question humanity.

Maybe Leno will replace Letterman. I know I don't like watching Conan. NBC makes another mistake.

I can get behind that
(I can also backup the author's assertion that Leno's studio in Burbank is a dump after having visited it)

Jay better not take another vacation! I loved Johnny, he was a master of the craft. Jay can't tie his shoes and Conan couldn't put them on the right feet.

This is utterly ridiculous. Since when does what's happening to Jay Leno need to become front page news? He's not even noteworthy. What has he ever done for anyone to merit anyone's concern over him? You're a rich man Jay, get over it.

Wow, guess Im alone. I think Leno is pretty funny, I watch him all the time. Only really the monolog though, or if he has a guest I really like. And his headlines crack me up. To be honest Conan creeps me out a little, don't want to see him on the tonight show. Jimmy Kimble rocks though. I wouldnt mind seeing him take Leno's place.

Leno is a pretty funny guy. I like him. I think he just can't handle the far left politics that NBC has been practicing as of late. He could always move to another network like Letterman. Now Letterman sucks.

I think Jay is great and should stay. Conan is just plain stupid. Letterman is a copy. It seems if Leno does it Letterman has to. Can not stand Letterman.
Enough said keep it going Jay.

Most of these programs get stuck in their own rut. Is anybody amused by "tonight's Top Ten list" any more?
Conan's program is frankly childish and I think that slot will go into the toilet when Conan gets it.
Kimmel would be much better if he had talent other than his parking attendant and his family members!
Actually the most talented of all these late night hosts is Craig Ferguson. He's the one who needs to be promoted into a bigger slot.
His monologue is always hilarious and pretty much unrehearsed and unscripted. See Jay or Letterman do that!
He's also very intelligent, aware and a great interviewer.
Who knows how good he could be with a decent budget.

Didn't NBC screw Letterman too? Wasn't he promised the Tonight Show years ago? Well I mostly watch Kimmel now because he's funnier. Letterman keeps sticking with that totally unfunny Rupert guy and his other crew guys who are just inane. Leno is pretty naturally funny and is doing all the creative things that Letterman USED TO DO. Conan? He is just stupid and thinks humor is acting like all three Stooges! He appeals to 13 year olds who are not up late. He has NO talent whatsoever.
Thank God for the remote channel switcher!
I wish they'd just run all the reruns of Steve Allen's Tonight show! Now he was funny. And Shecky Green would be funnier today even dead, than Obrian.

Your right about one thing...Leno did steal a lot of Letterman's bits.
I think Leno does a better monologue, but pound for pound Letterman does a better show.
I have pretty much boycotted Leno after he stole stuttering john from the Stern show. How stupid was that, to make a moronic child-man who can't even talk right the show announcer. He screwed it up so much that now it has to be pre-recorded.
Leno was obviously just trying to steal some of Stern's hip cred.

I really don't watch late night talk shows that much any more and don't care much for pabulum humor. I like my humor as raunchy and politically incorrect as possible so I watch cable like HBO and Showtime.
