Television – TV Squad HQ just received a missive from Warner Brothers and The CW. It's a joint statement that says that Gilmore Girls will air its series finale on May 15th (A representative for Warner Brothers confirmed the note).

It was about time for this show to go, I had been reading about a lot of people imploring The CW to wrap this show up after the seventh season
It's going to be a huge rush to close all those loose ends with just two episodes, though
Yeah. I agree that the show has run its course, but two episodes? How can they possibly wrap it all up in that time?
The series creator has said that the finale episode was written and filmed in a way that could serve as either a season or a series finale. So it should work out, though likely without the fanfare fans would have liked.
