Well mabey I am the only one but, this show went downhill after the 80's. I dont even watch SNL I thought they cancelled it a long time ago. Their best bet is to hire the cast of Chapelle's show. Or perhaps they could hire some of the wayans brothers to write. (lol)

Great commentary Ryan, I agree. I personally like the turnover on the Daily Show right now in comedians. I haven't really watched SNL for a few years because of the staleness.

If you don't like the show, don't watch it, and don't rip on it either... SNL is an American staple. There is no way to write and perform sketches on a weekly basis that will please everyone. I view SNL much like baseball, another American institution. Overall, it's a boring, drawn out affair with little flair. But every once in a while, they hit one out of the park, and that's why you watch; for that special moment. Fey and Poehler have been the best news anchors since Norm and Dennis. Do you recall the Quinn and Nealon years at anchor?? That was like pulling teeth! And Sanz went from the Farley

Yeah well baseball is boring as hell to watch on tv also. Sorry but the idea of watching an entire season of a show for a few funny sketches is lunacy. And Obesity is as American as apple pie and thats not good either.

I love SNL...but I agree that the past few seasons haven't been their funniest. I really loved the years of Dana Carvey,Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, etc., and really enjoyed when Will Ferrel and Cheri Oteri were on.

Here is hoping they have an awesome season soon.

I like the old school Cast from the early 90's.

I havent seen SNL in years.

SNL has sucked since the original cast left.

snl had funny people performing unfunny skits last season. what a waste.

Cast members leaving? Does anyone really care about current cast members on SNL? The last great cast members on SNL were Will Ferell & Tracy Morgan, any other cast members with them or since them have all been poor excuse cookie cutouts of what comedy truely is. How much longer are they gonna beat that looooong dead horse, why not have a little respect & end it's(our)misery.

As far as SNL being a staple, ya, maybe, but it's a rusty old staple that shoulda been removed a loooong time ago.
